This week’s sale brought warm temperatures and large numbers of cattle, with just over 7,400 head of cattle penned.

The regular buyers, feedlotters and backgrounders were present, competing for the yarding which hailed from many areas from across Australia, once again solidifying the Roma Saleyards as being the marketplace of choice.

The yarding was drawn from the local Maranoa supply district including Amby, Injune, Jackson, Mitchell and Yuleba, and from the western regions of Augathella, Blackall and Tambo.

Cattle were also consigned from further south; from Bollon, Dirranbandi, Mungindi and St George in Queensland, and from Coonamble in New South Wales.
