All the cracks had gathered to the fray for the final sale of 2025 here at the Roma Saleyards.

Packed laneways and overcast skies, the prices were hot and the chatter unmistakable with just over 6150 head of cattle yarded.

Despite a mixed quality yarding prices were firm to dearer across majority categories.

All the regular processors, feedlotters and backgrounders were present in the laneways along with several additional faces seeing the 2025 cattle selling season in.

Cattle were drawn from the local Maranoa supply district including Roma, Wallumbilla, St George and Surat as well as Miles, Condamine, Thallon, Dirranbandi and Taroom.

Cattle were also consigned from as far afield as Julia Creek and Richmond in the north and Quilpie to the west.

The selection and quality of cattle on offer once again solidified Roma Saleyards as the marketplace of choice.

Roma Saleyards wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday!

The Flower family from Surat offloaded an extensive run of Santa Gertrudis cross steers to fetch a straight 558c/kg over 8 pens to weigh an average 362kg for a return of $2,019/hd.
